Over the past several month's Troop 523 has embraced our motto of “making the world a better place.” Our CEO expressed a desire to have a community garden so our girls set to work, trying to make that happen – Consulting with our VP of Properties the idea grew to be something much bigger and morphed into a decomposed granite Native plant trail to be enjoyed by all. The girls were happy to take on the project and grow with the challenges. In the spirit of community service, Troop 523 reached out to the local BSA council and connected with a Boy Scout trying to earn his Eagle Scout award and began working with him and he has contributed benches to the trial. From architects to the conservation core and irrigation specialists, the troop formed partnerships with several members of their communities to bring their vision to fruition. The completion date is slated for this April so that all that visit Skyland Ranch can enjoy the beautiful trail.
